Terminal 2: The Queen's Terminal
Terminal 2, officially known as The Queen's Terminal, reopened in 2014 after a complete rebuild. It is Heathrow's home for Star Alliance airlines and several other carriers. The terminal is modern, spacious, and well-designed, with a striking wave-shaped roof and an extensive range of shops and restaurants.
Airlines at Terminal 2
Terminal 2 handles flights for a wide range of airlines, including:
- Star Alliance members — Lufthansa, United Airlines, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), TAP Air Portugal, Aegean Airlines, and more
- Other airlines — Aer Lingus, Eurowings, Icelandair, and several others
Always check with your airline before travelling, as terminal assignments can occasionally change.
Drop-off at Terminal 2
Free Drop-off
The free drop-off area is located at the Long Stay car park for Terminal 2. Allow an extra 5-10 minutes for the shuttle bus transfer to the terminal. This is the budget option, but less convenient with heavy luggage.
Paid Forecourt Drop-off
The forecourt drop-off zone is directly outside the Terminal 2 departures entrance. Charges are approximately £5 for up to 10 minutes. This is the quickest option for getting passengers to the door.
Taxi Drop-off
When you book with Heathrow Airport Taxi Links, your driver takes you directly to the Terminal 2 forecourt. The drop-off charge is included in your fixed fare — no additional costs.
Pickup at Terminal 2
Arriving passengers exit through the Terminal 2 arrivals hall on the ground floor. Our taxi drivers can either wait in the short stay car park (connected via covered walkway) or provide a meet and greet service in the arrivals hall with a name board.
We track your flight in real time. If your flight is delayed, your driver adjusts automatically at no extra cost to you.
